A softer ball behaves differently indoors than a solid rubber one — it's forgiving on floors and furniture in a way a harder bounce never is, which matters when play sometimes happens where it shouldn't.

This is a sponge rubber ball with a softer feel than solid rubber, made in a range of bright colours and sold individually: the price shown is for one ball. Classic Pet Products describe it as a Throw and Fetch product, though the catalogue itself lists this as a cat toy — the description and the category disagree on which animal it's aimed at.

• Sponge rubber construction, softer than solid rubber
• Made in a range of bright colours
• Sold individually: one ball per item
• Described by the maker as a throw-and-fetch toy

On which pet this is for. The catalogue lists this under cat toys, but the maker's own description talks about dogs preferring the softer feel and calls it a 'Throw and Fetch' product — a category normally aimed at dogs. We can't resolve that conflict from the data supplied, so use your own judgement on suitability for your pet rather than relying on the category alone.

Who it's for: owners looking for a soft, bright ball for throw-and-fetch style play, whichever pet in the house ends up chasing it.
