A cat loses interest in a toy the moment it stops moving unpredictably, which is why a toy that reacts to touch rather than running on a fixed loop tends to hold attention longer.

This gecko-shaped toy is motion-activated: a tap of the paw triggers one of three movement modes, and it moves its head up and down before automatically entering standby when play ends. It's USB-rechargeable (300mAh, 5V), giving up to 210 rounds per charge, and comes with 2 catnip bags, one already inserted.

On supervised play. Catit don't give an expected lifespan in charge cycles, only rounds per single charge, so how many charges the battery lasts over its life isn't stated - and a motion-activated toy like this is for supervised play, not something to leave running with a cat alone for long stretches.

Who it's for: owners of a cat that loses interest in toys that only move on a fixed pattern, who want something that reacts to a paw tap instead.
