Full description
Reflective foil in a bed does one job: it sends the cat's own body heat back at them instead of letting it disappear into the ground. That is the whole mechanism behind anything sold as self-heating, and it works particularly well in a small enclosed space like this A-frame, where the warmed air has nowhere much to go once it is in there.
The frame is iron with an Oxford cloth shell stretched over it, so the tent holds its shape rather than collapsing when a cat shoves into the corner of it. Inside there is a fleece cushion sitting over the foil layer, and a peep window at one end so a cat can keep an eye on the room without leaving the warm part. Ground pegs are included for pitching it outside.
