Cats sleep above the floor whenever they are given the option, and in a cage or a crate the floor is the only place there is. Hanging a hammock inside changes the geometry of the whole space. On sizing: 27 x 27cm is a kitten's bed rather than an adult cat's - a full-grown cat curls into roughly 35 to 40cm and will hang over the edge of the smallest size. No weight limit is published, so check that whatever you hang it from will take a cat landing on it rather than stepping in, and give the straps a firm pull yourself before the cat does.
