Full description

Gravy and jelly change more about a wet food than the name suggests, one clings to biscuit if you mix it, the other doesn't, and this one is worth knowing about before it's on the spoon.

This is a chicken recipe in gravy rather than jelly: chicken at 46% and liver at 4%, with sweet potato and peas in single-figure percentages. It's grain free by its own stated claim, with protein at 7.5% and fat at 5%, coming to 86 Kcal per 100g.

Chicken 46%, liver 4%
Sweet potato 3%, peas 1%
Protein 7.5%, crude fibre 0.2%, fat 5%, crude ash 2%
86 Kcal per 100g
Grain free (explicit claim)
Price-marked pack, £1.30

On gravy versus jelly. This is the gravy version rather than jelly, a looser, sauce-like texture that behaves differently if you mix it with dry food. If your dog is used to the jelly range, the texture change is worth knowing about before the first bowl, not after.

Who it's for: owners whose dog prefers a gravy texture over jelly, and anyone after a genuinely chicken-led, price-marked can.

Why we chose it

Chicken at 46% is the real headline ingredient here, unlike some of the beef-and-liver cans in this range where the name doesn't match the label. This one is straightforwardly what it says it is.
