Full description
A white coat shows every bit of dirt and every stain, which is why a shampoo built specifically to brighten white fur has to do more than just clean it.
Bugalugs' Maxi White Shampoo is formulated to brighten white coats and enhance colour on any coat type, using pineapple and passionfruit for fragrance, without using bleaches. Bugalugs describe it as deeply cleansing while nourishing the skin underneath.
- Formulated to brighten white coats
- Also described as enhancing colour on other coat types
- Pineapple and passionfruit fragrance
- Free from bleaches
- 250ml or 500ml bottle
On the formula. Bugalugs haven't given us a pH figure or a list of active whitening ingredients on our source, so if you need to confirm either for a dog with sensitive skin, it's worth checking with the manufacturer directly before use.
Who it's for: owners of white or pale-coated dogs wanting to brighten the coat between washes, or owners of any coat colour wanting the coat's natural colour enhanced rather than dulled.

Why we chose it
A whitening shampoo that's specifically bleach-free matters on a dog's skin in a way it wouldn't on fabric, which is the reason to stock this over a generic whitening product. It doubles as a colour-enhancer for non-white coats too, so it's not a one-breed product.
