A scratcher that lives permanently in one corner tends to get ignored once the novelty wears off, and moving a heavy post around isn't something most owners bother doing. Bestpets' Star Cat Scratcher is built light enough that repositioning it is actually realistic.

It's a star-shaped scratcher, described by Bestpets as encouraging exercise and relieving stress, and light enough to move to wherever your cat's currently spending time. At 1.65kg, it's genuinely easy to pick up and shift room to room.

• Star-shaped design
• Lightweight, 1.65kg
• Easy to reposition around the home
• Encourages exercise and scratching

What the label doesn't say. We don't have a material fact for what the scratching surface itself is made from — most cat scratchers of this shape use sisal or cardboard, but Bestpets haven't confirmed which for this one, so we can't promise it here.

Who it's for: owners who want a scratcher light enough to move between rooms rather than one fixed piece of furniture, and who like the novelty of a star shape over a standard post.
