A rawhide chew earns its keep by lasting, and a plain roll is about as simple as a chew gets.

Bestpets' Rolls are made from chopped cattlehide bound with glutinous flour and tapioca flour, rolled into a 5-inch plain shape. They are sold individually: the price shown is for one roll. The analysis printed on the label runs high on protein and low on everything else: over 56% protein, under 0.5% fat, under 3.0% fibre and under 5% ash.

On chewing time. Bestpets give the composition and the analysis but no chewing-time guidance or suitability by dog size, so supervise a new chew the first few times to see how quickly your dog works through a 5-inch roll.

Who it's for: owners running through chews regularly who want an inexpensive roll they can add to the basket in whatever number suits them.
