A bone-shaped chew gives a dog something to hold down with their paws in a way a flat stick does not, which is why the shape sells alongside the plainer cuts of rawhide rather than instead of them.

This is a 10-inch rawhide knuckle bone, sold individually: the price shown is for one chew. The analytical panel shows over 71% protein, under 2.2% fat, under 0.5% fibre and under 1% ash — a high-protein, low-fat profile that is typical of a rawhide chew rather than a formulated treat.

• 10-inch rawhide knuckle bone shape
• Protein over 71%
• Fat under 2.2%, fibre under 0.5%, ash under 1%
• Sold individually: one chew per item

What the label does not say. No minimum age, feeding frequency or weight-per-piece is published for this range, so there is nothing on the pack to guide portion size for a small dog against a large one. An 8-inch version of the same knuckle shape is also available for anyone after something smaller.

Who it's for: owners with a dog that gets through rawhide chews steadily and likes a bone shape to hold down and work at.
