Green tripe has a reputation among raw feeders as the ingredient dogs go maddest for and owners can least stand the smell of — which is usually the reason people buy it ready-included rather than sourcing it themselves.

This recipe is 60% chicken with bone, with green lambs tripe at 10%, and ox liver and ox kidney at 5% each. Vegetables make up a fifth of the mix — carrot 9%, parsnip 8%, broccoli 3% — alongside a list of botanicals (flaxseed oil, kelp, turmeric, celery seeds, alfalfa, nettles, psyllium husk, clivers and wild yam) that aren't individually quantified on the card we hold. It's recorded as a complete food: protein 13.8%, fat 10.9%, ash 2.32%, fibre 0.27%, moisture 71.78%, calcium 0.55%, phosphorus 0.38%, at 143kcal per 100g.

What isn't broken down. As with the botanicals in Benyfit's other recipes, none of the nine named here carries an individual percentage on our card, so there's no way to say how much of the mix any single one makes up. Feed at 2–3% of your dog's ideal bodyweight a day, adjusted for condition, and refrigerate once defrosted.

Who it's for: raw feeders who want green tripe in the mix without sourcing and preparing it themselves, and dogs whose owners have noticed how much they prefer it to a tripe-free recipe.
