A raw feeding recipe named after one animal usually still varies in exactly what parts of that animal make up the mix, and the split between meat, offal and bone changes the fat and mineral content more than the name suggests.

Benyfit's Lamb Meat Feast is composed of 60% British lamb with bone, 20% lamb tripe, 10% lamb heart and 10% British lamb liver. Benyfit's own guidance is to feed adult dogs 2-3% of their ideal body weight per day, always supervised, and to refrigerate and use within 4 days once defrosted. The composition analysis given to us shows 17% protein, 29.5% fat, 7.35% ash, 1.16% fibre and 55.3% moisture, at 148kcal/100g.

On conflicting figures. Some of the supporting text supplied with this product gives a different composition and a notably different fat figure (12.4% rather than 29.5%) for what looks like the same recipe. We've written this page from the structured composition and analysis fields — 60/20/10/10 and 29.5% fat — rather than the conflicting description, but the two don't agree and it's worth knowing that gap exists.

Who it's for: owners already feeding a raw diet who want a single-protein lamb recipe including bone, tripe, heart and liver rather than lamb muscle meat alone.
