Full description

Not every cat responds to loose dried catnip the same way, and a treat built around it gives a more predictable, portioned dose than a pinch sprinkled on the floor.

Beaphar's Catnip Bits are crispy treats with a catnip paste filling, at 0.12% catnip in the overall recipe, alongside brewer's yeast and standard vitamin and mineral additives. Beaphar recommend 5-10 a day as a treat or reward.

On the catnip content. At 0.12%, catnip is a small proportion of the overall recipe rather than the bulk of the treat — most of it is the same base recipe Beaphar use across their treat range, with catnip paste as the filling rather than the whole biscuit.

Who it's for: owners wanting a portioned, treat-format way to give a cat catnip, rather than loose dried catnip sprinkled or rubbed onto a toy.

Beaphar Catnip Bits

Why we chose it

A treat gives a fixed, repeatable amount of catnip each time, which is easier to manage than guessing at a pinch of the loose stuff. At 35g it's also a small enough size to see whether a particular cat responds to catnip at all before buying more.
