Baskerville Ultra Muzzle

A muzzled dog that cannot pant is a dog in worse trouble than the one the muzzle was meant to prevent, which is why every part of a basket design exists to keep the mouth open rather than shut.

The Ultra Muzzle is made from thermoplastic rubber (TPR), a material that can be reshaped by holding it in hot tap water for two minutes, moulding it by hand, then setting the new shape in cold water — a fit adjustment you can redo as needed, though Company of Animals note the material gradually returns to its original shape over time. The basket design lets a dog pant, drink and take treats while it is worn, and it can be fitted with an optional collar loop or headstrap for extra security.

Company of Animals say this design can be worn for longer than a traditional muzzle, but their own guidance still stops short of recommending extended wear unless it is genuinely necessary, and a dog must be supervised throughout. No girth or length measurements are supplied against the size codes, so fitting is a matter of trying the size against your own dog rather than reading it off a chart.
