Full description

A dog on a chicken-exclusion diet, or one whose owner is simply rotating proteins for variety, needs a training treat that is not just chicken with a different name on the front — this one genuinely swaps the protein.

Arden Grange's Grain Free Duck training treat leads with fresh duck (30%), with the same supporting ingredients as the rest of the range — potato protein, sweet potato, pea starch, dried krill, and small additions of blueberries, rose hips, apple, spirulina and coconut. Its Metabolisable Energy is 278kcal per 100g.

80g bag
Fresh duck (30%)
Grain free
Protein 19.5%, fat content 6%, crude fibre 2%, moisture 28%
Metabolisable energy 278kcal/100g

On the small print. Arden Grange's label notes the duck may contain traces of other animal proteins and cereals — a standard caution for treats made in a shared facility, worth reading if your dog is on a strict single-protein diet for a genuine allergy rather than a preference.

Who it's for: a dog avoiding chicken specifically, or an owner rotating protein sources across Arden Grange's training treat range for variety.

Arden Grange Training Treat Grain Free Duck

Why we chose it

Duck is a genuinely different protein from the chicken and lamb versions in this range. That matters for the specific customer asking for exactly that, rather than another chicken treat in different packaging.
