A sensitive-stomach food is almost always bought after something has already gone wrong, not before. You are working backwards from a dog that itched or scoured, trying to find the shortest ingredient list with a protein on it your dog has not had much of, and fish is usually where that search lands.

Ocean white fish makes up 42% of this recipe, split between fresh fish at 22% and dried fish at 20%, and the carbohydrate behind it is sweet potato at 29% and potato at 10% rather than any grain. Crude protein is 25% and fat 14%, with crude fibre 3% and crude ash 8%. Omega-6 sits at 3.0% and omega-3 at 2.9%, which is unusually close together for a dry food, and whole linseed at 2% is in there alongside the fish oils. Arden Grange also add prebiotic FOS at 900mg/kg and prebiotic MOS at 400mg/kg.

• Complete dry food for adult dogs, 2KG bag
• Ocean white fish 42% (fresh 22%, dried 20%)
• Sweet potato 29% and potato 10%, no added grain, gluten, soy or dairy
• Crude protein 25%, fat 14%, crude fibre 3%, crude ash 8%
• Omega-6 3.0%, omega-3 2.9%, calcium 1.6%, phosphorus 1%
• Prebiotic FOS 900mg/kg and prebiotic MOS 400mg/kg

Read the composition all the way down. Chicken oil is the fourth ingredient, and further along there is fish digest, dried krill and whole dried egg. That is fine for a dog with a wheat or beef problem and a real obstacle for one avoiding chicken or egg, so this is a grain-free food rather than a single-protein one, and the two get confused constantly. If your vet has put your dog on a genuine exclusion diet, check the list against what they told you to avoid.

Who it's for: owners of an adult dog with a grumbly gut or itchy skin who have been steered towards fish and away from grain, and who want the fish figure stated on the bag rather than implied by the picture.
