Full description

A treat that's entirely one ingredient leaves nothing to guess about what you're actually giving your cat between meals.

This is 100% mackerel loin, hand-sliced rather than reformed, with nothing else in the composition. Applaws say it can be fed on its own as a treat or shredded and mixed into their dry food, and it's cleared for cats and kittens over 3 months old.

Composition: 100% mackerel
Protein 31%, fat content 6%
Crude ash 2%, crude fibre 0.1%, moisture 61%
1805 kcal/kg, 54.2 kcal per loin
Not suitable for kittens under 3 months
30G pack

One thing worth knowing. At 30G this is a treat-sized pack, not a meal, and Applaws don't give a daily amount for it the way they do for their complete foods - use it as an occasional extra rather than a portion of the daily diet. It's also single-ingredient, so it won't suit a cat with a fish sensitivity the way a meat-based treat might.

Who it's for: Owners wanting a single-ingredient treat with nothing else added, and anyone whose cat is over 3 months and happy to eat fish on its own or shredded through dry food.

Why we chose it

A treat that's 100% one named fish and nothing else is rare at this size, and it means we're not guessing at what's actually in it. Being able to shred it through dry food rather than only feeding it whole makes it more useful than a straight snack.
