White dogs are not white for long. Tear staining, grass, mud and general life turn a white coat cream and then beige, and once it has gone that way an ordinary shampoo cleans it without changing the colour back.

White Wash is Animology's answer: a shampoo formulated specifically for light and white coats, with a deep cleaning and stain-removing action aimed at improving the colour and overall appearance rather than simply getting the dirt off. It cleans, deodorises and conditions like the rest of the range, with a built-in conditioner and Pro-Vitamin B5. Like every 5 litre bottle in the range it is concentrated 20:1, so it makes 105 litres once diluted. It suits all coat and skin types including sensitive skin, and all dogs from 6 weeks old.

Tear staining is not a coat problem. If the marks you are trying to shift are the rust-coloured tracks under a dog's eyes, no shampoo fixes the cause — that is tear overflow, and it comes from anatomy, blocked ducts, irritation or allergy. It is worth getting the eyes looked at rather than washing the face repeatedly, which irritates the very skin you are trying to help. On body staining from grass and mud, this is the right bottle. Dilute it properly at 20:1, and keep any shampoo well away from the eyes.
