Animology Dogs Body Shampoo

This is the everyday one in Animology's professional range: an all-breed shampoo for cleaning, deodorising and conditioning, without being formulated around any particular problem. If you are washing several dogs and want one bottle that does all of them, this is the bottle.

It is a concentrate at 20:1, so 5 litres makes 105 litres of shampoo once diluted — the reason a professional-sized bottle works out cheapest by a very wide margin. The cleaning action is mild but deep, lifting dirt and odour without stripping the coat of its essential oils, and the easy-rinse formulation exists to cut the rinsing time, which on a thick coat is where the work actually is. There is a conditioner built in along with Pro-Vitamin B5. It suits all coat and skin types including sensitive skin, and all dogs from 6 weeks old.

Dilute it, and do not wash more often than you need to. At 20:1 this is far stronger neat than any dog needs, so measure rather than guess. And the thing worth saying on any shampoo page: over-washing is one of the more common causes of a dry, itchy coat. Most dogs need washing when they are dirty rather than on a schedule, and a dog with red, flaking or persistently itchy skin needs a vet rather than a different bottle.
