Full description
A dog crossing a dark field is invisible to a driver on the road beside it until something on the dog catches the headlights, which is the entire argument for a reflective collar over a plain one.
It's a nylon collar with a reflective bone-pattern applique tape, fastened with a quick-release buckle and fitted with an adjuster so it can be sized within its 30-50cm range, plus a D-ring for lead attachment. Ancol describe the nylon as strong, lightweight and weather-proof.
- Reflective bone-pattern applique tape
- Nylon collar, 30-50cm neck size
- Quick-release buckle, adjustable
- D-ring for lead attachment
- Matching lead available separately
What the card doesn't cover. No specific reflectivity standard or visibility distance is given for the reflective tape, only that it is described as reflective — so treat it as an added-visibility feature rather than a certified high-vis product for road use. Check the fit regularly as the collar beds in, which is sensible with any adjustable collar.
Who it's for: owners of a medium-necked dog, 30-50cm, who walks near roads or in low light and wants extra visibility built into an everyday collar.

Why we chose it
Reflective tape on an everyday collar is a cheap way to add visibility without buying a separate hi-vis accessory for evening walks. The quick-release buckle also makes it faster to get on and off than a collar with a traditional pin buckle.
