Most people passing a dog on a lead have no idea whether it wants fussing, is in training, or would rather they crossed the road, and a dog cannot tell them itself. A lead that carries that message for it saves both the dog and the owner an awkward encounter.
The Awareness range is built to do that signalling job at a glance, and this training lead is made from 40mm-wide recycled webbing, manufactured in the UK. The wider webbing is chosen for visibility and strength rather than looks, and it is designed to hold up to everyday walking rather than occasional use.
- 40mm webbing width
- Made in the UK
- Made from recycled materials
- Designed for everyday walking use
- Part of the Awareness signalling range
What this card leaves out. the makers give us the width, the material source and the manufacturing country, but not a length, a weight limit, or which colour corresponds to which message on this specific lead — check the listing photos or the product page for that detail before choosing one to match a dog's needs.
Who it's for: owners who want other walkers and dogs to understand a dog's needs at a glance, whether that is space, training focus, or simply friendliness.

Why we chose it
Recycled webbing that is still built for daily use is a rare combination at this end of the market, and the wider 40mm width holds up better in the hand than a narrow lead does. It is made in the UK, which is not something every dog lead on the shelf can say.
