Full description
There is no good week to shop for one of these, so the aim here is to describe it plainly. It is a small aluminium alloy keepsake urn with a screw lid and an engraved floral band running round the body, made to hold a portion of a pet's ashes and sit somewhere in the house rather than being put away. The finish is smooth and unmarked apart from that band, which keeps it from looking like anything other than what it is.
The screw thread is the part worth caring about. A push-fit lid can be knocked loose by a shelf being dusted, whereas a threaded lid seals closed and stays closed, and metal will not chip or crack the way a ceramic keepsake does if it is ever dropped. Aluminium alloy is also light enough to be moved and handled without ceremony, which matters if it is going to travel with you rather than stay in one room.
