Grief for an animal is oddly homeless. There is rarely a grave to visit, and a photograph propped on a shelf can feel like too little for a companion who was in the room every day for a decade. A small object that does something, that lights up when you set it going and then goes quiet again, gives that feeling somewhere to sit for a minute or two.

The box is clear acrylic, roughly ten centimetres a side, and it works with your own phone. The screen supplies the image and the box turns it into a floating, holographic-style projection above a small printed scene, of which two are offered: Warm Cottage and Sunny Lawn. It will take a short video as readily as a still photograph.
