Cat Toys
A useful cat toy recreates part of the hunting sequence: watch, stalk, chase, pounce and catch. The strongest toy box contains movement for shared play and something safe for the cat to use alone.

Multi-Level Cat Track Ball Tower Toy
Why we picked it
A track toy keeps the ball captive, which is the whole reason it works - nothing to lose under the sofa, so the cat can play alone while you are out. Tiered layers make it harder for a clever one.

Build a cat toy box around instinct
| Play need | Choose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Chase with you | Teaser wand with replaceable heads | Changing the lure restores novelty after the first feathers are worn out. |
| Play while alone | Captive track ball or wobble toy | The moving part stays attached and cannot immediately vanish under furniture. |
| Kick and wrestle | Long catnip kicker | The shape lets a cat grip with the front paws and kick safely with the back feet. |
| High-energy sprint | Rechargeable rolling toy | Unpredictable movement triggers pursuit without relying on disposable batteries. |
Finish the game with a catch
Move a wand like prey—away from the cat, around corners and with pauses—then allow a successful catch. Constantly snatching the toy away creates frustration rather than satisfying play.
Put string and feather wands away afterwards. Loose cords are not suitable for unsupervised use.
Short sessions work
Five focused minutes before a meal can be more engaging than leaving the same toy on the floor all week. Rotate several shapes and materials so familiar toys become interesting again.
Everything here is chosen to be genuinely useful in everyday life with your pet — quality-checked, fairly priced and shipped tracked across the UK. For any health concern, your vet is always the best first port of call.
Common questions
What toys do indoor cats need?
A mixture of interactive chase toys, safe solo toys, scratching surfaces and food puzzles covers movement, hunting and mental work.
Can cats play with teaser wands alone?
No. String, wire and feather wands should be put away after supervised play because loose cords can tangle or be swallowed.
Why does my cat get bored with new toys?
Constant availability removes novelty. Rotate toys every few days and vary how they move rather than buying more versions of the same object.
