P&M freeze-dried dog treats
P&M makes freeze-dried meat treats and toppers for dogs, built around single meats rather than mixed recipes, sold as a treat or an addition to a meal rather than a complete food on their own. We stock four lines from the range covering chicken, turkey and lamb.

Toppers and treats in the range
P&M Frz/dr Chick Topper and P&M Frz/dr Turkey Topper are both freeze-dried meat meant to be sprinkled over a normal meal as a topper, or handed over as a treat on their own — the turkey version is mixed with pumpkin and cranberry rather than being plain meat alone. Neither is described as a complete food, so they are an addition to your dog's regular diet rather than a replacement for any of it.
P&M Frz/dr Lamb Treats is a more concentrated freeze-dried lamb treat, suitable from 12 weeks, and the fourth line in the range follows the same single-ingredient approach in a turkey and salmon combination. Freeze-drying keeps the treat lightweight and shelf-stable without needing refrigeration, unlike a fresh or frozen raw treat.
Using a topper versus a treat
A topper is generally used in smaller amounts, sprinkled over kibble or wet food to add smell and flavour for a dog who is a fussy eater or recovering their appetite, while a treat-branded product like the lamb line is more likely to be handed over whole as a reward. Either way, treats and toppers should stay a small part of a dog's daily food rather than a regular substitute for a proper meal.
Because these are freeze-dried rather than cooked into a finished product, check the pack for any preparation guidance before giving a large piece to a small dog or puppy, since a concentrated treat can be more calorie-dense than its size suggests.

Common questions
- Can I use a P&M topper as a whole meal?
- No, the toppers are sold as an addition to a normal meal rather than a complete food on their own, so they are meant to be sprinkled over your dog's usual diet rather than fed as a full meal replacement in their own right.
- Are P&M treats suitable for puppies?
- The lamb treat line is suitable from 12 weeks, but always check the age guidance printed on the specific product before giving any new treat to a young puppy, since not every line in a range is suitable at the same age.
- Why use a freeze-dried topper instead of wet food?
- A freeze-dried topper adds strong meaty smell and flavour without the mess or short shelf life of wet food once opened, which makes it a convenient way to tempt a fussy eater or add variety without changing your dog's main diet.
- Do freeze-dried treats need to be kept in the fridge?
- No, freeze-drying is what makes these shelf-stable at room temperature in the first place, so they can be kept in a cupboard rather than the fridge — just reseal the packet properly between uses to keep the texture from softening rather than going stale.
