Cotswold Raw dog food

Cotswold Raw is a UK raw dog food brand, and we stock a selection of their frozen mince and natural treats. We do not run a review or rating system on this site, so rather than a star score, this page covers what the brand actually makes, what we carry, and what a raw feeder new to the brand should know before buying.

What we stock

Our range includes Cotswold Raw's Active Mince in turkey, beef and lamb — single-protein frozen raw mince meant to be thawed and fed as part of a raw diet — alongside their Lamb and Tripe recipe. On the treat side, we carry their British Chicken Strips, Beef Tails and Beef Tendon, which are natural, single-ingredient dog chews rather than raw meals.

What is shown in the grid above reflects what we currently have available to order, and that changes as stock does, so it is worth checking back if a particular recipe is not showing right now.

What to know before switching to raw

Raw feeding requires proper freezer storage and safe handling — thawed in the fridge rather than at room temperature, fed promptly, and with the same hygiene you would use for raw meat prepared for people. It is a different routine from scooping kibble from a bag, and worth thinking through before you commit a freezer's worth of space to it.

If you are moving a dog onto raw for the first time, do it gradually and keep an eye on how they get on, the same as with any diet change. A dog with a known sensitive stomach, or any existing health condition, should only be moved onto a raw diet with your vet's input, since it is a bigger change than switching between two dry foods.

The natural chews in the range, like the beef tails and beef tendon, are a separate consideration from the raw mince — treat them as a chew for supervised gnawing rather than a meal, and always supervise a dog with any chew, particularly the first few times, to see how they manage it.

Common questions

Do you have customer reviews for Cotswold Raw?
No, we do not run a review or star-rating system on this site. This page covers what the brand makes, what we stock from the range, and what to consider before switching a dog onto raw feeding, so you can make an informed decision without relying on ratings.
Is Cotswold Raw suitable for puppies?
Speak to your vet before starting any puppy on a raw diet, since growing dogs have specific nutritional needs that a general raw mince is not necessarily balanced for on its own. Your vet can advise whether the brand's approach fits your puppy's stage of growth.
How do I store and thaw Cotswold Raw mince safely?
Keep it frozen until you are ready to use it, thaw it in the fridge rather than at room temperature, and feed it within the timeframe stated on the packaging once thawed. Treat it with the same hygiene as raw meat prepared for people, including washing bowls and surfaces after use.
