Cranberry gets added to a lot of dog treats for the same reason it turns up in human snacks - a small amount goes a long way as a flavour note, without needing to be a meaningful part of the recipe.

That's the case here: duck flavouring is 0.15% and cranberry 0.1%, sitting on top of a base of tapioca starch and isolated soy protein. Zeus's analysis gives crude protein at 6.5% and fat at 4.95% - low figures for something shaped like a bone, because the bulk of the recipe is starch rather than meat.

• Pack of 10
• Duck flavour 0.15%, cranberry 0.1%
• Crude protein 6.5%, fat 4.95%, fibre 0.07%, ash 2.52%
• Feed 1 to 2 per day as a reward or treat
• Contains emulsifier, flavourings, colourants and preservative
• Suitable for all life stages

On the small print. Duck and cranberry are flavourings here at 0.15% and 0.1% respectively, not meaningful ingredients by weight - this is a starch-based chew with a duck-and-cranberry taste rather than a duck-and-cranberry recipe in any real sense.

Who it's for: owners after a cheap, occasional treat shape with a duck-and-cranberry flavour, rather than a high-meat chew.
