Full description
A slip lead goes on in one movement and comes off just as fast, which is the entire reason they turn up at rescue centres and vet practices where a dog needs handling quickly.
This is a nylon rope slip lead, 1.2cm thick and 122cm long, with no separate collar needed - it loops over the head - and it's available in five colours: black, blue, green, lilac and red.
- 1.2cm rope, 122cm long
- Slip design - no separate collar needed
- Nylon rope construction
- Available in five colours
On weight: rope holds up better than webbing when it's wet, but Walk R Cise don't publish a maximum weight rating for this lead, so it's worth judging suitability by your dog's usual pulling behaviour rather than a figure we can't confirm.
Who it's for: owners who want a quick-on, quick-off lead - for a dog that's between collars, a foster dog, or just for speed at the vet or the park - in a length longer than a standard slip lead.

Why we chose it
A slip lead is the fastest way to get control of a dog with nothing else on hand, and rope holds up to being pulled taut in a way flat webbing sometimes doesn't. At 122cm it's longer than some slip leads, which gives a bit more room to work with.
