A clipper that dies halfway through a large or double-coated dog means starting again another day, which is the specific failure Wahl's Pro Series kit is built to avoid with a genuinely long run time. It's cordless throughout, rather than offering a cord as a backup.

The Lithium-Ion battery gives 120 minutes of run time from a 240-minute (4 hour) full charge, and a 15-minute quick charge adds a further 8 minutes of run time in a pinch. The adjustable taper lever covers cutting lengths from 0.8mm to 1.8mm, and the kit includes four attachment combs at 3mm, 6mm, 10mm and 13mm, plus scissors, blade oil, a cleaning brush, charger and storage case.

What the label doesn't say. Wahl don't publish a weight or dimension figure for this clipper, so we can't tell you how it feels in the hand over a longer session — only the run time and charge figures are confirmed.

Who it's for: owners or groomers doing full clipper kits on small to large dogs who want genuine cordless freedom for the whole session, backed by a long charge cycle rather than frequent top-ups.
