Full description

Green vegetables rarely make for an exciting treat flavour on their own, which is presumably why spinach here is doing a supporting role rather than the whole job.

Spinach powder sits at 4% of the recipe, alongside wheat bran, rapeseed oil, wheat flour, corn starch and linseed oil, inside the same crispy shell and cream-filled centre used across the Nibblots range. Protein comes out at 15%, with crude fibre at 5%.

On the spinach content. Spinach gives this flavour its name, but it is 4% of the recipe — most of the treat is wheat bran, rapeseed oil and wheat flour, the same base ingredients used across the range. It is a flavoured treat, not a leafy-green supplement.

Who it's for: owners of rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils or rats who already feed the Nibblots range and want to rotate in a savoury flavour alongside the fruit ones.

Why we chose it

Protein at 15% is a solid figure for a treat this size, and the per-species feeding guide takes the guesswork out of portioning. That combination is worth more than the flavour on the front.
