Full description

Echinacea and inulin are more often seen in a human supplement aisle than a hamster's treat pot, and here they're both present alongside the usual wheat-based base.

It's built from wheat flour, canola oil, corn starch and wheat gluten, with apple powder (4%), echinacea extract, inulin (0.25%), vitamin C, natural flavouring, rosemary extract oil and vitamins E, A and D3.

Apple powder 4%
Inulin 0.25%, with echinacea extract included
Protein 8%, crude fibre 2.5%, fat 27%, crude ash 2%, moisture 7%, omega 5.2%
4.5 kcal per treat
Feeding limits vary by species: 1 a day for hamsters and mice, 1–2 for rats, 2 for guinea pigs and gerbils, 2–4 for rabbits
30G pack

The catch. Echinacea and inulin are genuinely on the ingredient list, but VetIQ don't publish a dose for either against any tested immune outcome — take the name as a description of the ingredients included rather than a guaranteed effect.

Who it's for: owners of small pets wanting a treat built around echinacea and inulin, fed to the species-specific daily limit rather than freely.

Why we chose it

It's the ingredients that make this one worth a look — echinacea and inulin aren't common on a small-animal treat label. We'd rather describe what's in it plainly than claim it does more than the card actually tells us.
