Specifications

Brand: Trill

Full description

A budgie kept indoors gets none of the incidental calcium a wild bird might pick up foraging, so a seed mix that names an actual calcium content, rather than just claiming to be "complete", is giving you something to check rather than take on faith.

Trill Budgie Food is a 500G blend of seeds, cereals, vegetables and vegetable fat, with minerals including 0.045% calcium. Trill's own description frames the mix around three things: vitamins and iodine to support the immune system, calcium to build up healthy bones, and a variety of carefully cleaned seeds.

500G bag
Seeds, cereals, vegetables, vegetable fat
Minerals including 0.045% calcium
Fortified with vitamins and iodine

What's left off the pack. No protein, fat or fibre percentage is given beyond the calcium figure, so we can't provide a full nutritional breakdown — the calcium content is the one specific number the label actually states.

Who it's for: budgie owners who want a seed mix with a stated, if small, calcium content rather than an unspecified mineral blend.

Why we chose it

A named calcium percentage is a small detail most seed mixes don't bother giving you, and it's the kind of specific number that suggests the recipe was actually formulated rather than just bagged up. It's also a straightforward 500G size for topping up a seed dish.
