Parrots are picky enough about texture that a food built around whole seeds and fruit pieces tends to get eaten properly rather than picked through and left.

XtraVital Parrot is a complete food built from cereals and seeds — 7% millet by Beaphar's figure — with dried fruit pieces (5% raisins, 2% dried banana, 1.5% dried papaya) and a small proportion of dried echinacea (0.5%) and egg (0.16%) added alongside a standard vitamin and mineral panel.
