The skidding bowl is one of those small daily irritations nobody plans for. A dog pushes into their dinner, the bowl travels, and by the end of the meal it is under the radiator with the last of the food ground into the floor. On weight, and on scratches. At 250g this is lighter than the deeper bowls in the range, so the silicone ring is doing most of the work of keeping it still, and on smooth tiles a strong dog can still shift it. Retire any melamine bowl once the inside is heavily scratched, because scratches hold bacteria, and keep the whole range well away from the microwave.
