This is the widest bowl in the Tarhong pattern range we stock, and width is what a bigger dog actually needs. A wide, open dish lets a broad muzzle go straight in without the sides pressing on the whiskers. Plenty of dogs, and almost every cat, will paw food out of a narrow bowl rather than put their face right into it, and a wider dish quietly removes the problem.

The boho medallion print is a warm, relaxed repeating pattern rather than a novelty graphic, and it sits on 100% BPA-free food-safe melamine that resists chips, scratches and the drop onto a stone floor that finishes ceramic bowls. It weighs 315g, so it has enough substance to sit still through a fast meal, and it takes daily dishwashing without the pattern going cloudy. It works as well outside as in, which makes it a sound choice for a garden or a van.

On depth, which we cannot give you. Tarhong publish the diameter for this bowl but not the depth, and a wide bowl is not automatically a deep one. If you have a big dog on a large portion of wet food, message us and we will measure it before you order rather than guessing on your behalf. Melamine does not go in the microwave, and any bowl should be replaced once the surface is badly scored.
