Small pets kept entirely on commercial food can end up short of a few trace minerals that foraging in the wild would otherwise supply, which is the whole justification for a salt lick existing as a product.

This is a single block of Himalayan salt, sold by Rosewood as a more natural, less processed alternative to the pressed salt and mineral wheels found elsewhere in the small-animal aisle. It weighs 0.15kg parcelled and is intended for rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters.

• Hand-selected Himalayan salt block
• Pitched as less processed than a standard salt/mineral wheel
• For rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters
• Parcel weight 0.15kg

On dosage. There's no guidance here on how often a pet should use it or whether every pet actually needs one — that's a question for a vet or an exotics-savvy source, not something this card, or a shop, should answer for you.

Who it's for: owners of rabbits, guinea pigs or hamsters who want a simple, single-ingredient mineral supplement rather than a processed wheel.
