Mange in a small animal is not something to wait out, since the mites behind it spread and the discomfort tends to get worse rather than better on its own. It's also one of the harder things to diagnose confidently without a vet, because the symptoms can look similar to other skin problems.

Petsolve's Mange Treatment for Small Animals is labelled for use on rabbits, guinea pigs and rats, supplied as a 5ml bottle containing 50 drops - enough for multiple applications from one bottle. It's applied directly to the affected area on the animal's skin, rather than given orally or added to food or water.

• 5ml bottle
• Contains 50 drops
• Labelled for rabbits, guinea pigs and rats
• Applied directly to the affected area on the skin

One thing worth knowing. We haven't been given a drop count per application or a treatment schedule for this product, and mange can resemble other skin conditions, so a vet's input on both the diagnosis and how to apply it is worth having before you start, rather than treating on a guess.

Who it's for: owners of a rabbit, guinea pig or rat with a vet-confirmed or strongly suspected mange problem, used alongside proper veterinary advice rather than instead of it.
