How to measure
- Mouth circumference: measure right round the muzzle about 2 cm below the eyes, with the mouth closed.
- Nose length: measure from the tip of the nose back to just below the eyes.
- Cross-check against the recommended weight, and size up if between sizes.

Measurements are the manufacturer's own figures. The "Weight" column is the muzzle's own weight, not the dog's. Recommended weights are printed in catties (1 catty = 0.5 kg) — except size 5, which the manufacturer prints in pounds. We have kept both exactly as printed and given the kg conversion in brackets. The manufacturer also writes the size labels inconsistently ("number 3", "No 4", "Number 5"…); they are simply sizes 3 to 8. If between sizes, size up.

Full description
A basket muzzle is the one style a dog can wear for a full walk, because the shape stands away from the mouth instead of clamping it shut. That single difference is what makes panting, drinking and taking a treat possible, and panting is how a dog cools itself, so any muzzle that prevents it is only ever safe for a few minutes at a time.
Flexible silicone gives this one the manners of a fabric muzzle with the function of a rigid basket. It flexes if the dog bumps a leg or a passer-by, wipes clean after a muddy walk, and does not chill against the face in winter the way a wire cage does. Open vents run around the cup and an adjustable strap fastens behind the ears. Weights run from 50 to 178 grams across the range, so a small dog gets a genuinely light one.
