The problem with a heavy hutch is that it lives wherever you first put it, and gardens change through the day — the spot that was pleasant shade at ten in the morning is full sun by two. This one sits on four wheels, so moving your animals out of the heat, out of the wind or under cover before rain is a ten-second job rather than a two-person lift.

Underneath the convenience it is a proper hutch: a fir frame with an enclosed house for shelter and privacy, and a steel-wire run alongside for air and light. Both doors lock, which is the detail that matters after dark — a latch a fox can nose open is not a latch. The roof lifts for access and a tray runs almost the full 99cm width, so you clean by sliding rather than reaching.

• Overall 108cm long x 58cm wide x 73.5cm high
• Living house 38 x 50.5 x 61.5cm; run 65.5 x 50.5 x 44.5cm
• Fir wood with steel wire fencing
• Two lockable doors plus an openable roof
• Removable 99 x 48.3cm tray running nearly the full width
• Four wheels; assembly required

On sizing: PawHut rate this for one to two rabbits. At 108cm long we would put a pair of guinea pigs in it happily, and use it for rabbits as a mobile, secure base alongside daily run time. It is a good hutch, but no hutch of this length is a rabbit's entire living space.

Who it's for: Guinea pig keepers, and rabbit owners who need to move their animals around the garden with the weather rather than build around one fixed spot.
