A growing puppy does not need a bigger box, they need a different shape of space at different times. Panels that clip together let you build the pen the room actually allows: long and narrow down the side of a sofa, square in the middle of a kitchen, or opened right out into a run on the lawn on a dry afternoon. When the furniture moves or the animal grows, you rebuild it rather than replace it.

Twenty-four panels is a great deal of wall, and that is the point of buying a set this size. The same box makes a modest pen with panels left over or one large enclosure with nothing spare. They interlock without tools, so it goes up in minutes and folds flat when you want the room back. Open panels rather than solid sides mean air moves through and the animal inside can see out, and a pen a puppy can see out of is a pen they settle in, instead of one they spend the afternoon working out how to leave.

On the panels. Height is the number that decides everything here, because a determined puppy or a fit rabbit will go over a low pen. Outdoors, treat this as a supervised run and not as fencing: it has no floor, no roof, and it will not stop a fox.

Who it's for: Owners of puppies, rabbits or guinea pigs who want one set of panels to serve as an indoor pen and a supervised garden run.
