A durable, flexible rubber sole with a non-slip surface protects the paw underneath, with the front and back edges slightly raised to help dogs who drag their paw. The wide opening makes it straightforward to fit even over a cast, and a drawstring at the top helps seal out rain, while Velcro straps hold the boot securely in place.

Boots and paw protectors are sized by paw WIDTH — the widest part of the paw when your dog is standing and the paw is spread. Measure width first; any weights are only a rough guide.
How to measure
- Stand your dog on a piece of paper so the paw spreads to its natural width.
- Mark the widest points on each side and measure straight across, in cm.
- Measure a front paw (usually a touch bigger than the back). If between sizes, size up.
