Grooming works best little and often, and a glove that goes in the washing machine makes that easy to keep up.

This is a textured cotton grooming glove with small pimples that catch loose hair as you stroke a dog's coat, removing dead hair and leaving it looking shinier without a brush in sight. Mikki say it's particularly good for nervous pets or dogs that aren't keen on being groomed conventionally. It's machine washable.

• Textured pimples catch loose hair
• Stroking action, not brushing
• Suits nervous pets or dogs wary of grooming
• Machine washable
• Sold singly

A finishing tool, not a detangler. This picks up loose, dead hair through stroking — it isn't built to work through knots or tangles, so a matted coat still needs an actual brush or rake first. Think of it as the last step that adds shine, not the tool that does the detangling.

Who it's for: owners of a nervous dog or one that dislikes being brushed, wanting a grooming tool that feels like a stroke rather than a brush.
