Check now and then that the head is still firmly attached, and retire the toy once it starts coming apart. The trouble with most solo cat toys is that they stop moving the moment your cat stops. A weighted tumbler does not. Knock it over and it rights itself, which reads to a cat as prey that got away and came back, and that single mechanism is what keeps a bored cat batting away long after a stationary toy mouse has been abandoned somewhere under the sofa.
The base is weighted so the toy rocks and returns upright rather than rolling off under the furniture, and the teaser heads fit into the top so you can swap them over. It ships with a feather head and a plush tail head, which matters more than it sounds, because cats habituate quickly and changing the thing that flicks about up top buys you a second wave of interest from the same toy.
