Full description

A seed mix built for a small parakeet's beak isn't necessarily right for a bigger bird's, and 'parakeet' actually covers a wide range of sizes — from a budgie up to something considerably larger — which is worth knowing before assuming any parakeet mix suits any parakeet.

This mix combines white and red millet, groats, small striped sunflower, safflower, flaked maize, peanut kernels, buckwheat, canary seed, hemp seed, chillies, oats, papaya, red and green bell pepper, coconut chips, paddy rice, white sunflower, banana chips and vegetable oil. It contains grain, and Johnston & Jeff say it particularly suits conures, cockatiels and big parakeets rather than parakeets generally.
