Give a bird a bowl of mixed seed and it will eat the parts it likes first, which is the real argument against a seed mix that leans too hard on one or two seeds — the rest just gets shelled out onto the cage floor and thrown away.

This blend runs to eleven separate ingredients: white and red millet seed, two types of sunflower seed, canary seed, safflower, hemp seed, groats, buckwheat, oats, paddy rice and vegetable oil. It's formulated specifically for cockatiels and parakeets, and it's not grain-free — buckwheat, oats and paddy rice are all genuine grains in the mix.
