A budgie's beak is smaller and less forceful than a parrot's, which is why a seed mix built specifically for them tends to favour softer, easier-to-crack seeds rather than the tougher, larger ones a bigger bird could manage.

This one is Johnston & Jeff's Budgerigar Seed: roughly half canary seed by weight, blended with white millet, panicum millet and red millet, plus vegetable oil. Johnston & Jeff describe it as balancing a high-protein canary seed base with soft white millet and small, easily digestible panicum millets that carry more carbohydrate. It's sold in a 1KG bag.
