Bigger cage birds need more grit and mineral supplementation than a budgie, simply because there's more bird to support, which is why Johnson's split the range by size rather than selling one grit mix for everything with feathers.

This is the large-bird version, containing iodine, grits, seaweed extract, calcium and yeast, enriched with vitamins and minerals. It is sold individually: the price shown is for one pek.

• Sold individually: one pek per item (large-bird size)
• Contains iodine, grits, seaweed extract, calcium and yeast
• Enriched with vitamins and minerals
• Sized for large aviary birds

What it doesn't replace. This is a grit and mineral supplement, not a complete diet — Johnson's don't present it as a substitute for a proper seed or pellet mix, so it's an addition to feeding rather than the whole of it.

Who it's for: keepers of larger aviary or cage birds wanting a grit and mineral supplement sized correctly for bigger birds rather than a small-bird version.
