A spray-in conditioner does a different job to a shampoo: it's meant to be used between washes, on a dry or damp coat, rather than rinsed out in the bath.

Johnson's Anti-tangle Conditioner Spray is prepared specifically for regular grooming, to help prevent knots and tangles forming, and Johnson's say it also conditions the coat, improving its appearance and texture while leaving a pleasant fragrance behind. It's suitable for all breeds of dogs and cats, in a 150ml bottle.

• 150ml bottle
• Spray-in conditioner, not a shampoo
• Prepared for regular grooming use
• Helps prevent knots and tangles
• Conditions and improves coat appearance and texture
• Leaves a fragrance
• Suitable for all breeds of dogs and cats

On the exact method. Johnson's don't give an exact application method — how far to spray from the coat, or whether to brush through immediately — on this card, so use it as you would any leave-in spray conditioner unless the bottle itself says otherwise.

Who it's for: owners grooming a dog or cat regularly between full washes, wanting something to spray on before brushing rather than a rinse-out shampoo.
