Older cats with fewer or sorer teeth often do better on pouches than on anything that needs proper chewing, which is one reason wet food tends to make up more of a senior cat's diet than a younger one's.

This pouch is built around turkey at 40% of the composition, heart, deboned ground turkey, liver and necks, grain free, served in gravy. As with this brand's adult turkey-in-gravy pouch, the printed nutritional analysis for this one does not read like a typical wet food panel, which we explain in the candid note below rather than presenting as fact.

• Composition: turkey (40%), heart, deboned ground turkey, liver, necks
• Grain free, served in gravy
• Formulated for senior cats
• 12 pouches, 85g each
• No moisture figure supplied for this recipe

On the nutrition panel. The figures supplied to us are 32.8% protein and 16.6% fat, again with no moisture percentage stated. As with this brand's adult Turkey in Gravy pouch, that reads like a mismatched or dry-food-style panel rather than a genuine as-fed analysis for an 85g wet pouch, so we are not presenting it as this product's real nutritional content. Go by the ingredient list, turkey, grain free, gravy, rather than the percentages for this one.

Who it's for: owners of a senior cat who prefers pouches to anything requiring much chewing, and who are comfortable that we cannot confirm the printed nutritional analysis for this particular listing.
