A kitten’s daily pouch count and number of meals should move with growth, so the labelled stage examples deserve as much attention as the chicken flavour and gravy texture.

IAMS Kitten Chicken in Gravy is complete wet kitten food in a multipack of eight 85G pouches. Meat and animal derivatives account for 42% of the composition, including 28% chicken. The recipe also declares 0.6% vegetable-origin derivatives from beet fibre, minerals and 0.2% fish oil. Analysis is 8.6% protein, 4.1% fat, 0.24% crude fibre, 1.8% crude ash and 82.5% moisture. Additives declared per kilogram include 400mg taurine, 200IU vitamin D3, 100IU vitamin E and 100 micrograms biotin.

Read the feeding examples as growth-stage guidance. At five weeks and 0.5kg, the maker gives about 1½ pouches across four to six meals; at 20 weeks and 2kg, about 3¼ pouches across three to four meals; and at 40 weeks and 4kg, about 4¼ pouches across two to three meals. Choose the relevant age-and-weight example rather than carrying one amount through every stage. Change food gradually over four days and keep fresh water available.

Who it's for: people feeding a kitten who prefer portioned chicken wet food in gravy and want clearly stated composition, moisture and stage-based serving examples.
