Kittens need feeding little and often relative to their size, which is why a kitten food's feeding guide usually has more bands on it than an adult one bothers with.

Chicken leads this recipe at 17%, alongside dried poultry protein, and DHA is included at 0.05%. Protein sits at 41%, well above an adult formula, and Purina break the feeding guide into three age bands running from 6 weeks up to 52 weeks.

• Chicken 17%, plus dried poultry protein
• Protein 41%, fat 20%, crude ash 8%, fibre 2%
• DHA 0.05%, omega-3 0.4%, omega-6 3.0%
• Feeding guide across three age bands, from 6 weeks to 52 weeks
• Not grain free — wheat is present at 14%, plus wheat gluten
• 750g or 2.8kg bag

On the feeding table. The oldest of the three feeding bands on this card (26–52 weeks) lists a daily amount that doesn't increase as cleanly from the previous band as you might expect, so it's worth weighing your kitten and checking current guidance directly rather than assuming the printed numbers scale in a straight line.

Who it's for: owners of a kitten from six weeks up to a year old, wanting a chicken-led food with a feeding table broken into age bands rather than one flat amount.
